It’s not out yet

Fallcast is coming to iPhone this fall. There is no date yet and we would rather not make one up. When it is on the App Store, this page will say so.

What it does

• You get a range, not a date. Leaves don’t turn on a schedule. A range is the honest answer, so that’s what you get.
• It updates all season. The first window is a starting point. When the season moves, the window moves.
• Peeper does the forecasting. Peeper is our own model, tuned for individual tree species and regions. He gets things wrong sometimes. When that happens, the window moves.

• No Color
• Low Color
• Moderate Color
• Approaching Peak
• Peak
• Past Peak

That’s the whole vocabulary. Every place, every day, is in one of these six.
